Blog #1
I graduated from the University of Oregon in 1993 with a degree in Finance and Marketing, and a Math minor. I am currently attending The Ohio State University pursuing my Masters Degree in Workforce Development. I am also taking math classes in order to get my teaching license for high school math.

Hi, Jim. My name is Craig. I am in your 623 class. I see from your blog that you are getting your math teaching licensure. I got my MEd from OSU a few years ago with licensure in 7-12 Math. I thought the theoretical algebra classes were pretty tough, but I enjoyed the required geometry class. Good luck with all your math classes!
Hi, This is Jenny. Im also in your 623 class. I know we've taken afew other class together as well as working with dr. z on the advisory committe. I just wanted to say hi, and good luck with everything. Your a brave soul to want to teach math!! :)
Hi Jim,
I would also like to teach Math. I don't know that I will though. A pay cut at my age doesn't make a lot of sense.
A good way to get teaching experience is with the State of Ohio. The Department of Youth Services advertises regularly for Math teachers.
How did you end up in Ohio? Most people from the Northwest tend to stay there.
